Who operates this site

Insulation Report is operated by Compass Camper LLC, an Oregon-registered marketing company. We are not an insulation contractor and we do not perform insulation work.

What we do

We operate this website to connect homeowners with licensed, insured insulation contractors. When you submit a quote request, your information is forwarded to a licensed contractor who can schedule your free quote.

We also publish independent research on insulation. We do not sell insulation and we do not install it, which means we have no reason to tell you that you need work you do not need. On most of our pages the honest answer saves the reader money, and we would rather publish that than the version that earns more.

What we ask of contractors

Contractors who receive homeowner requests through this site are expected to:

• Hold current contractor licensing in their state where it is required
• Carry current general liability insurance
• Offer written workmanship warranties on completed work
• Provide transparent, itemised written estimates before performing any work

These are objective requirements, not a quality ranking. We do not rate contractors and we do not claim to have assessed the quality of anyone's workmanship. Contractor license numbers are available on request.

What we are not

• We are not a contractor and we do not perform work.
• We do not negotiate scope or price on your job. You contract directly with the contractor.
• We do not guarantee any contractor's work.
• We do not publish customer reviews or ratings, because we do not have real ones to publish.
